Once you have made everything just how you like it, occasionally you might want to make sure things don't move around, or at least, return when you want them. Here are a few tips.

1. To make an item's home somewhere, type @link <item>=<newhome>

• applied to people this sets their homes
• applied to rooms this sets their drop to - ie if people drop stuff in this room where it goes to
• applied to items it sets their homes
• applied to exits it links them to a room (if not already liked, if it is it will error)

2. To stop people taking items, you can either lock them so they arent permitted to take them, or at least make it so if they drop them they return them.

• To lock an item so only you can pick it up would be @lock <item>=me
• To lock an item so no one can pick it up would be @lock <item>=<item>
• To make it so they return home when they are droped type @set <item>=S

3. If an item of yours has gone astray, or often is taken by other people (and you dont mind but often want to get it back). Create an action on yourself which will return the item to you. Once you have done, on typing get <item> you will find in your hands the item, just like magic.
